Carbon Steel Filter Housing Datasheet

**Carbon Steel Bag Filter Housings are internally epoxy coated for a level of protection from rust and oxidation, however, if processing water, the epoxy coating system will become compromised with use. A carbon steel filter housing is not designed for processes where rust or oxidized minerals may cause a problem in a process. PRM cannot accept returns on a carbon steel bag filter housings where surface rust has occurred either on the interior or exterior of the vessel. If the process is required to be free of oxidation,  please select a PRM stainless steel filter housing. PRM has in-house capabilities to provide more durable epoxy internal coatings, however these applications may be more expensive than simply converting to stainless steel.**
