Waterra SS-16 Stainless Steel Inertial Pump Foot Valve, Standard Flow

Waterra SS-16 Stainless Steel Inertial Pump Foot Valve, Standard Flow

Waterra SS-16 Stainless Steel Foot Valve, Standard Flow

The Waterra SS-16 Standard Flow Inertial Pump foot valve is made or acetal thermoplastic and has a 5/8 inch OD (16 mm). The SS-16 is used with Waterra Standard Flow  HDPE of LDPE Tubing (⅝” X ½”). The tapered male thread self taps into the polyethylene tubing making a semi-secure connection. If this valve is used in a deep monitoring well (> 50’), a stainless screw may be driven through the poly tubing and into the hole in the valve’s threading to permanently attach the valve to the tubing.

Contains No PFAS.

A Waterra SS-16  Inertial Pump can be operated by hand with the Waterra Lever Pump or with the use of a powered Waterra tubing actuator such as the Hydrolift-2. The Standard Flow Inertial Pump System is the most popular Waterra Inertial Pump. This system is best suited for use in 2 inch monitoring wells and can provide lifts of up to 150 feet. Flow rates are a function of pumping speed and lift requirements and can be as much as 1 gallon per minute.

The SS-16 Foot Valve is designed for use in narrow diameter wells or 2” monitoring wells where access is restricted and conditions are too abrasive for using a plastic valve. The low cost, reliability and durability make the Waterra Inertial Pump an excellent choice as a dedicated monitoring well pump

For 2 inch wells we would normally recommend a D-25 Foot Valve.

The Standard System with an SS-16 Foot Valve can provide lifts of 150 feet (45 m). Flow rates can be as much as 1 gallon per minute (4.5 lpm).
